Not only would the District be well represented by any of the contestants Modesto's Bill Conrad told us that it was one of the best group of candidates he has seen. On hand last night were Tuolumne County Supervisor and Candidate Teri Murrison, Kurt Vander Weide, Kristin Olsen and the aforementioned Bill Conrad. The Republicans of Ebbetts Pass organized and moderated the event. We have video of most of the evening starting with the Candidates opening statements..

The Copperopolis Library, long known for its community service efforts and perseverance to survive and succeed in the face of seemingly insurmountable budget constraints, now offers adult tutoring. Though most people that take advantage of the adult tutoring program “are attaining their GED” says Copper’s librarian attendant Valerie Dean, the library will gladly help “any adult struggling with their education.” Those that are attending online colleges for an AA degree may find it difficult to embrace a subject without one-on-one instruction or reinforcement. The library is a viable alternative to traveling miles to the satellite school in hopes of receiving help....

Welcome to the Country!~by Charity Maness |

So you’ve decided to move to the country where owning a horse is actually the easiest part of owning a horse.....Moving to Tombstone with my Wyatt has been full of adventures but none more exciting than livestock ownership. Having had cows, hogs, emu’s, chickens, bunnies, and a variety of other livestock it must be said that there is most definitely an easier way to get a meal on the table. Seeing these majestic animals running free through the many open pastures here in the foothills, makes ones heart warm and creates a keen desire to own one of these creatures. It’s not difficult to find a horse in these parts, it’s just hard to find a good horse. After all, who in their right mind would sell a ‘good’ horse? ....
Isn't she cute?
