Umpqua Bank has a policy of commitment to excellence and community service through local involvement in community events, activities, and projects. With this in mind, store manager Iris Larson, recognized a need and found a way to help. Iris set up a bucket in the branch, with an article attached about a local Marine deployed to Afghanistan, in hopes that the community will help them with their collection of basic necessities for our troops. The library is a viable alternative to traveling miles to the satellite school in hopes of receiving help....
