Frogtown, USA...Angels Camp...The 2019 Frog Jump Champion is Logan Busch Jockeying "The Webbed One" took the title with an 18' 6" jump. San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) President Doug Archer has announced that Gabriel Pettersen, MD, has returned to practice at MTMC and treat patients at the San Andreas Family Medical Center. He will also conduct cardiac stress tests at Mark Twain Medical Center’s Heart Center. “We are very happy to welcome another experienced family practice physician to our team, and to care for our patients in the San Andreas Family Medical Center,” states Archer. “Dr. Pettersen is familiar with the community and is board certified in internal medicine,” he adds.

Arnold, CA...Unsettled weather continues into this week according to the National Weather Service Sacramento office. The detailed forecast for West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. Today At lower elevations, rain showers early in the morning, then rain showers and a chance of thunderstorms in the late morning and afternoon. At higher elevations, rain and snow showers. Some thunderstorms may produce small hail in the late morning and afternoon. Highs 29 to 44 higher elevations...43 to 51 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...3 to 6 inches higher elevations. Snow level 5500 feet. Prevailing southwest winds 5 to 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph...except southwest 15 to 30 mph over ridges.

Columbia, CA...Columbia State Historic Park will present “Diggins Tent Town 1852”, their annual living history event this coming May 16th through May 19th 2019. Sponsored by the non-profit organization Friends of Columbia and Columbia State Historic Park and depicted by over 150 costumed volunteers, visitors can experience the events and environment of an 1850’s mining camp that is re-created in detail with period-accurate clothing, food and entertainment.
