Just get it together whatever age is considered an adult. Make it the same age for all things adult like voting, military service, drinking, smoking, signing a contract...etc....

However, it is always a negative for women being dragged down by men again. Young women and their brains are scientifically proven far more mature than young men. Young women should not be held back and punished anymore because of the immature young men their same age.

Jealous again Lisa attacker? You are so uneducated and just a flat nasty deranged human. Unfortunately you just recently started to troll this site, still disgustingly carping on Lisa.

You have never raised children or worked with them obviously. I doubt you have the capability to think or reason, but if you did why are young women not shooting up churches, schools, bars?

You wont educate yourself with higher learning. You are just here to throw catty remarks and flip your wrist at everyone here.

National Geographic put out an article several years back on the teenage brain that talked about the difference between the young male and female brain. Along with great scientific researched knowledge. There is much more found since then.

But any reasoning would be lost on you and just a waste of time.

A teenage brain is not fully formed in terms of long range, consequential thinking. Documented by many medical studies and decades of scientific research. Eighteen is still teen-aged and not appropriate to purchase a firearm themselves. A young person learning target shooting under the supervision of a family member or instructor, quite a different thing. But the adult should be the one purchasing.

Or old enough to collect Social Security. Just whatever it takes to not have weekly mass murders. That would be refreshing.

How is the age to vote relevant here? We don't use that for Driving. Or Buying Booze. Or Being President. It's a false equivalency.

How about lowering the age to 16? That way we can train our angry young, alienated, bitter young white men to commit mass murder at an earlier age and maybe get it out of their system. Just ask the NRA, Mitch McConnel, Ted Cruz about it! And also, if a woman get impregnated before the age of 18 they are automatically executed! That way no abortion! What do you think Republican Party?

Re: CCW Permit Holders Most Law-Abiding Citizen in America

Strange how ignorant so many people are about CCW permit holders.
      Read the one below.
I see the news of liberals thinking CCW permits means more innocent people getting killed. It's not true at all. The reason so many gun deaths is criminals are being let out of jail, many in mostly dem run big cities, criminal uses a gun and gets out of jail with no bail. And the Mentally Ill still buying guns.
Proven FACT- CCW permit holders are the most Law Abiding Citizen in America.

"How is the age to vote relevant here?"

The adult age to do adult things needs to be raised as teenagers do not have an adult reasoning brain yet. Too many bad parents not held accountable, do not help the situation.

Males do not have the normal full adult reasoning skills until about 25. However, females do at about 20. These ages should be used for the ability to make a legal decision as an adult.

This is one of those matters like school shootings that just need immediate solutions to stop the issue, then go back and refine it. So make the age for adulting 25 if you must.

Finally they are enforcing safety and security at public schools. Unfortunately too late for those killed and injured. Educated parents removed their children from the public school danger long ago.

If you can draft an 18 year old and arm them with guns, grenades, Rockets, flame throwers, an 18 year old should be able to buy a gun. All this male maturity crap, I was managing a Hardware Store my senior year in High School & was only 17 years old. Time to start paying attention to all the red Flags everyone talks about after the fact!! No matter what sex you are!!

You're right, in our military we do train our 18 year olds how to use and kill with firearms. We also lock those firearms up in the armory and only give those 18 year olds access to them under strict supervision. Only when those 18 year olds are in an actual combat zone are they allowed loaded weapons without supervision.
Now, civilians are allowed firearms with unlimited access and without training or supervision at 18. The results.... we're seeing them.
Licensing for all semiautomatic weapons with magazines holding more than 5 cartridges should be raised to 25 years old. That includes rimfires.

One republican lawmaker said his state uses assault weapons to kill groundhogs . That’s great but mental patients are using them to hunt minorities and children .

I've never heard of anyone being shot to death with a cannabis plant, and tens of thousands are probably grown in this county every year.
Maybe our cannabis plants are strictly for training purposes?

Agree to yes on age restriction and further background checks along with notifying local police departments. I would not have used the word "unfortunately," though.
