To verify that a contractor has a valid C-27, contact the board at 1-800-321-2752 or at www.cslb.ca.gov. Contractors must demonstrate a certain level of skill, competency and financial responsibility to be licensed.
* All required city and county business licenses.
* Valid pest control license. In order to ensure that pesticides are applied correctly and safely, the Department of Agriculture requires landscape maintenance firms applying pesticides in California to be licenses and to take continuing education courses.
* Workers' compensation insurance to protect you from liability in case one of our workers is injured on your property. Unlicensed or uninsured firms can leave you being liable.
* General liability insurance protecting against calamities such as floods or landslides caused by construction.
* Automobile insurance providing additional protection in case one of our vehicles is involved in an accident on your property.
