Stockton Man Flown to Memorial Hospital after Motorcycle Crash on Hwy 26 |

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Inman was driving his Kawasaki motorcycle east on SR-26 at 30 to 35 miles per hour. For an unknown reason he allowed his vehicle to drift to the right and leave the roadway. The vehicle continued to the right and struck a uphill dirt embankment. This impact caused the motorcycle to overturn and Inman was thrown from the vehicle, onto the roadway.

San Andreas, CA...Meet Sapphire, a Border Collie/Husky mix estimated to be about two years of age. An affectionate dog with excellent leash manners, Sapphire is calm and eager to please. Every dog she meets whether male or female is a new friend to be made. She also adores being petted. Sapphire’s absolute favorite activity, though, is to play with water from a hose. We can easily envision her romping with her special person or family by a backyard pool and being part of summer barbeque fun. This sensitive girl would likely do best in a home with lots of attention where she can feel she truly belongs. Sapphire may also be housebroken as she keeps her kennel clean.

In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Controled Substance & Weapons Charges for West Point Man |

West Point, CA...Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at an address located in the 200 block of Bucksaw Lane in West Point California. Investigators seized 1,101 growing marijuana plants and 27.47 pounds of processed marijuana. 5 firearms and a portion of an additional firearm were located during the search along with an illegal high capacity magazine. Calaveras County Code Compliance responded to the scene and discovered violations for electrical hazards and debris on the property.

Mokelumne Hill, CA...On June 20, 2019, at about 2:30 PM, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Mokelumne River near the inlet of Lake Pardee for a deceased white male. Rangers from the East Bay Municipal Utilities District who had been continuing with search efforts made the discovery. Calaveras County Sheriff’s Detectives were dispatched along with the Sheriff’s Marine Safety Unit to investigate the scene and to recover the decedent.
