Calaveras Fair Will Hit The Jackpot In Poker Tournament...Practice Rounds Tonight At CAMPS |

Frogtown, USA....The Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee will hit the jackpot at a Poker Tournament set for Feb. 22 at Jackson Rancheria Casino. The Friends of the Fair are sponsoring the event, the latest in its ongoing series of events benefitting the fair. Texas Hold’em is the action for the tournament which begins at 11 a.m. Tournament registration is $125 and starts at 10 a.m. The games will be followed by a dinner at 5:30 p.m. Non-players can join the fun for dinner at a cost of $30...

1 8-ounce steamed lobster tail, 8 raw oysters, Cocktail Sauce, get recipe here, Green Tabasco sauce, Garnish, Lime zest, Thinly sliced green onion, 1. Place the lobster tail on a cutting board and cut into 8 equal slices. 2. Angels Camp, CA...Dawn E. Hartwig of Angels Camp died Thursday, February 6, 2014. She was 44. Dawn was born July 24, 1969 in Oakland, California to David and Danielle Hartwig. Dawn was a resident of Calaveras County for 40 years. Dawn was a mother, gifted artist, sculptor and musician. Dawn enjoyed horseback riding, playing her guitar, singing and she was a skilled chess player as well as a pool player. Dawn worked along side Miles Metzger for years at his studio. In recent years she became a published author of books that instruct people on how to carve soft stones....
