Angels Camp, CA...The Clothes Mine Bridal and Formalwear produced a fabulous fashion show at the Calaveras Wedding Faire held at Ironstone Vinyards on Sunday, March 22nd. Local models wore gorgeous gowns from the Sutter Creek and Angels Camp locations, with beautiful bouquets provided by Blooms and Things. Hair and makeup were done by Jen'z Salon in Murphys, with custom tanning by SUNsual Tanning Boutique in Angels Camp. The event was produced by Sound Extreme Productions of Sonora. If you missed this one, be sure to plan for the next bridal fashion show featuring The Clothes Mine. It will be held on May 3rd, at the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort. San Andreas, CA...Mountain Melody Women's Chorus is celebrating ten glorious years of song! The group that brings soulful harmonies and sublimely blended vocals to the foothills is pleased to present a program of fabulous fan favorites, new songs and even a world premier of an original composition from one of our members. Among the songs being revised are a moving a cappella version of "Amazing Grace," a jazzy rendition of "Puttin' on the Ritz," and "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square," as well as a medley of tunes from the famous vocal jazz group Manhattan Transfer. Member Lee Davis has written "The Mokelumne River Song," a reverent ode to the beautiful roving river as part of the Amador County Arts Council "River Reflections" celebration. The 24 voice choir will be singing these songs and many other favorites at three special performances this spring....
