Arnold, CA...Stop by Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store Cat Adoption Center in Arnold, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market, open Thurs. through Sat., 10 am–5 pm (Phone 209-795-GIVE). Merlin & Clancy will be there, along with other kitties who would love to meet you. We will also have kitties available at our Angels Camp Adoption Center, located in Angels Town Center (240 S. Main St./Hwy 49). New summer hours for Angels Camp are Thurs/Fri,10 am–5 pm, and Sat., 11 am–5pm. The Angels Camp Adoption Center will have GUEST CATS from Calaveras County Animal Services available for adoption again this week, so if you'd like to meet shelter cats at one of our adoption centers, check out the cats in Angels Camp this week! CHS foster kitties will be there too!

On Thursday, June 18 Ginger will be teaching a Serger Review class & on Thursday, June 25 she will teach a Sewing Machine Review. The fee is $25, or FREE to BERNINA CLUB members. Big Crowd For New Melones Marina Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening |

Angels Camp, CA...The docks, boats and decks were filled for the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of the New, New Melones Marina. Ownership is now is local hands as the Mills Family unveiled the remodeled and freshened up Marina. The event also helped reinforce that while water levels may be less than what we would like there is still plenty of water waiting for all of your watersport, boating and houseboating adventures. The ribbon cutting ceremony was officiated by Supervisor Debbie Ponte and Darrin Mills' former babysitter. Refreshments and Newsome Harlow wines were served.

Angels Camp, CA...Golf skills, good sportsmanship, and great summer fun - Greenhorn Creek Golf Course and Resort will be offering two great summer golf programs for local kids. The summer tour of The First Tee of San Joaquin kicks off Saturday, June 13, at 9:00 am. This nine week program for students ages 7-17 is part of The First Tee, a national program that has brought golf to over 9 million students nationwide since its inception in 1997.
