Make Plans Now To Attend The 2014 Home & Garden Show This Weekend |

Angels Camp, CA....Saturday, March 29th and Sunday March 30th, the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce will once again host the Annual Calaveras County Home & Garden Show located at the Calaveras County Fair Grounds. Show hours will be 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday. This year’s event is sponsored by Century 21 Tri-Dam Realty, Mark Twain Medical Center and Barrel of Monkeez. “Century 21 Tri-Dam Realty is proud to be sponsoring this year’s Calaveras Home and Garden Show,” said Century 21 Tri-Dam Realtor Cindy Peterson. “We applaud the chamber for putting on such a great event. We look forward to seeing you all at the Frog Jump Fair Grounds. Be sure to come by and visit our booth, sign up to win one of many prizes and see all the great homes we have on the market.” The event will feature over 40 vendors from the home and garden industries...

Prevailing southwest winds 10 to 25 mph with gusts to around 45 mph...except southwest 35 to 50 mph with gusts to around 65 mph over ridges. Thursday Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow showers. Not as cool. Highs 29 to 44 higher elevations...42 to 52 lower elevations. Little or no snow accumulation lower elevations...up to 1 inch higher elevations. Snow level 4500 feet. Prevailing southwest winds 5 to 15 mph with gusts to around 35 mph. Over ridges...prevailing southwest winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts to around 65 mph becoming west 20 to 30 mph in the afternoon...

Angels Camp, CA...Frogtown was filled with Calaveras County's best and brightest Teachers and 4th & 5th grade students for Ag Day 2014. They were able to learn about area after area in our rural economy. From Lamas to sheep, and wool to canning and preserving to managing forests. The presentations had it all...

Murphys, CA ... Calaveras County’s fresh new springtime fundraiser is taking shape as a festive and memorable treat for party-lovers and dancers of all types! The Spring Swing, a brand new event presented by the Calaveras Mentoring Foundation to raise funds for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program, is coming right up on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. The Spring and Swing themes will sparkle throughout the event. Ironstone’s ballroom will be in full bloom with gorgeous flowers, foliage and cheerful seasonal decorations. Partygoers will enjoy a delicious multi-station 1950’s-themed buffet dinner with stops like Bobby’s Burger Barn, Bud’s Spuds, and Delilah’s Diner. Rod Harris and the Columbia Kicks will deliver their distinctive style of Big Band dance music, and accomplished local and professional swing dancers will be ‘for hire’ to teach or just dance with guests who want to look really good on the dance floor. Angels Camp, CA....Both opponents today were missing a lot of swimmers due to their spring break. Amador and Argonaut have some extremely fast swimmers, and will pose a challenge for us when we meet next, so we will make sure to be ready. Sophomore Brennan Thompson swam section qualifying times in both the 500 freestyle and the 50 yard freestyle. Freshman Kaya Fishman won the 200 yard freestyle and bettered her time by 5 seconds. And junior Bethanni Riedel dropped time in her 500 yard freestyle event and took first place. The bullfrogs continue to swim personal bests and are working extremely hard with both morning and afternoon workouts...
