Grand Opening Monday March 17 for Cartridge Supply Ink |

Angels Camp, CA...Cartridge Supply Ink, Angels Camp’s new printer and cartridge supply service, will hold its Grand Opening on Monday, March 17, at 12 noon at its shop at 520 N Main Street, Suite 101 in the Baldwin Building. The media and the public are invited to join in the celebrations. The grand opening ceremony will be officiated by Mayor Elaine Morris as well as representatives of Destination Angels Camp and the Angels Camp Business Association. It is open to the public, and refreshments will be served...

Murphys, CA....The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee has created Frog Stops throughout the community. What will you find at the Frog Stop? Entry guide books, Livestock entry information, Western Horse Entry information and special contests entry forms. You can pick up a brochure about the Junior Livestock Auction, Learn about the Frog Jump and find information to join Friends of the Fair. At some locations you can purchase tickets on line. Where are the Frog Stops? Rabobank – Arnold, Murphys Suites-Murphys, Rabobank- Angels Camp, Cruisers- Copperopolis, Senders- Valley Springs, Wells Fargo- San Andreas and the Blue Mountain Coalition- West Point. | Angels Camp, CA...An Arnold woman was traveling W/B on SR-4 on her way to work as she was fatigued. Due to her state of being fatigued, she allowed her vehicle to travel off the south edge of the roadway, and her vehicle collided with an embankment and barbwire fence. Ms Talbert was transported to the hospital for complaints of pain, and her vehicle was towed away with major front end damage.... |

Guinness Glazed Corned Beef in the Slow cooker. This traditional St. Patrick's Day recipe is from one of our many talented local chefs, Melanie Klann. Melanie always adds her own flair to her food - this time by throwing in a bottle of Guinness. She also loves to make everything from scratch, and she brines her own beef, using a choice beef brisket. The brining process takes a couple of days. If you don't have that kind of time, simply buy our pre-brined corned beef and use her slow-cooker recipe.

Angels Camp, CA...Found dog, Brown brindle female pit bull. Found 3/11 in circle XX. Per the vet she is about 7 months old and not chipped. She was wearing a pink harness when found. Very sweet, well behaved girl. She is missing her family. I have not had any luck finding her owner. I hope someone in the community recognizes her. Please call 925-997-4575

MCT opens its 20th season with Neil Simon’s hilarious farce, “Rumors” |

Muprhys, CA ...20 years ago this May a group of friends got together to put on a play and Murphys Creek Theatre was born. The play was “Rumors”, by Neil Simon. As an homage to that auspicious beginning, MCT is once again mounting this play with several of the original cast members. “I had forgotten how funny this play actually is”, said artistic director Graham Green, “and I’m really thrilled to be working on it again. It brings back so many memories of the early days.” The returning cast members are: Sheila Doyle playing Claire Ganz, Tom White playing Ernie Cusack, and Terri Wilson (one of the co-founders) playing Cookie Cusack.
