Angels Camp, CA...Country Cloth Shop, located at 330 N. Main Street Angels Camp, CA is offering many fun classes to the public. OPEN SEWING: Every Tuesday (11:00 am to 4 pm) $10. This day is set aside for you to work on your own project, .no teacher available, but we are all here to help. PLEASE SIGN UP prior to - so we don't crowd classroom. $5 extra to use one of our machines. COME WINE WITH US!! Every Tuesday Evening (5 pm to 8 pm) $10 Bring a project to work on and be here before 5 pm and be ready to relax, sew and visit with friends. You will receive a 25% discount on fabric & notions purchased between 5 & 8. Wine & hors d'oeurves will be served so you must be 21 to attend. Angels Camp, CA...You’ve Won a Prize! The scam artist explains that the victim has won a significant prize (large sums of money, vacations, etc.) but a “processing fee” is required. The scammer indicates that the prize will be finalized after the processing fee is paid. This processing fee ranges from hundreds to thousands of dollars. The scammer will then request that the victim purchase a pre-paid debit card or wire transfer as a method of paying the processing fee. When the unsuspecting victim make the payment, the scammer promises to deliver the prize, but the delivery never happens. Legitimate lotteries and contests will never ask you to pay a fee to collect a prize....

Angels Camp, CA...On Friday, 12-05-14, at approximately 4:15 PM the listed suspect attempted to pass a stolen cashier’s check at Rabobank in Angels Camp. Bank employees were able to determine that the check was stolen and the bank did not suffer any loss. This informational bulletin has been published to warn all local merchants to be-on-the-lookout for this suspect....

Angels Camp, CA...James Edward Kane passed away at Sonora Avalon Care Center December 3, 2014 at the age of 87. He was born June 29, 1927 in Hughson California to Albert and Myrtle Kane. After graduating from high school in 1945, he joined the Merchant Marines for a two year stint. Shortly after going to work for PG&E, he was drafted into the Army and sent to Germany as part of the occupational forces for two years. After his military service, he went back to work for PG&E building sub stations and married the love of his life, Betty Conyers to whom he was married 61 years. He ultimately retired from PG&E as a hydro generation maintenance electrician after 40 years. ....
