Angels Camp, CA...Dick Swendeman was born in Los Angeles, California, February 18, 1924. He died peacefully surrounded by family on December 26, 2014. He is survived by wife Junella North Swendeman of Tiburon, California; children: Crystal and Jerry Anderson of Idaho, Colleen Mullin of Belvedere, and Rick and Nicki Swendeman of Angels Camp; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and another due in February....

Denova Homes Has Begun Developement of New Homes Within Greenhorn Creek

Angels Camp, CA.....Progress has begun on the development of new homes within Greenhorn Creek at the site along Greenhorn Creek Drive and McCauley Ranch Road that will abut the golf course at the 10th tee box. Denova Homes has begun site work today, ahead of the announced schedule of the 14th. They will be closing McCauley Ranch Road during the day with street plates over the excavations at night to allow traffic to pass. There will be days with one lane open. The work that will close the road is expected to take no more than three days total. ....
Angels Camp, CA...On 01-10-15, at approximately 7:28 PM, Angels Camp Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a heard only traffic collision in the 1600 block of S. Main Street. Officers arrived on scene a few minutes later and found that a full size Chevrolet pick-up drove off of the west shoulder of S. Main Street and collided with a fence, some cement pillars and a tree. The vehicle sustained major damage to the right side, and the driver fled the scene of the collision prior to the officers arriving. There were no other vehicles or pedestrians involved. Evidence located near the scene of the collision indicated that the driver of the truck was entering a turn too fast and drove into the oncoming, northbound lane of S. Main Street. The driver of the truck attempted to maneuver back into the southbound lane, over-corrected and then drove off of the west shoulder of S. Main Street....
