Sacramento, CA...Governor Gavin Newsom issued the following statement regarding the death of Stockton Police Department Officer Jimmy Inn: “It is with heavy hearts that Jennifer and I extend our sincere condolences to the loved ones and friends of yet another fallen California hero. Officer Inn put his life on the line to protect those who cannot protect themselves and will forever be remembered for his selfless sacrifice and dedication.”
Amador County, CA... Amador County Public Health reports 6 more cases of COVID-19 since last Tuesday’s update, bringing the total laboratory confirmed case count to 1,776. The new cases include 2 males and 4 females, 1 aged 18-49, 3 aged 50-64, 2 over 65 years of age; 2 residents of Jackson, 3 living in Plymouth, and 1 in Sutter Creek/Amador City. The Amador COVID-19 statistics dashboard is now updated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Latest Update on Colonial Pipeline System Disruption

Atlanta, GA... Colonial Pipeline continues to make forward progress in our around-the-clock efforts to return our system to service, with additional laterals operating manually to deliver existing inventories to markets along the pipeline. Markets experiencing supply constraints and/or not serviced by other fuel delivery systems are being prioritized. We are collaborating with the Department of Energy (DOE) to evaluate market conditions to support this prioritization.

Sacramento, CA...Today, California Governor Gavin Newsom unveiled the second challenge his $100 billion California Comeback Plan will confront – homelessness. Governor Newsom’s $12 billion plan to tackle the issue of homelessness will be the largest investment of its kind in California history. This investment will provide 65,000 people with housing placements, more than 300,000 people with housing stability and create 46,000 new housing units.
Attorney General Bonta Launches New Racial Justice Bureau, Announces Virtual Convening Against Hate Crime with Big City Mayors

Oakland, CA... California Attorney General Rob Bonta today launched the Racial Justice Bureau (Bureau) within the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and announced plans for a virtual convening against hate crime with California’s Big City Mayors. Together, the Bureau and virtual convening are a part of the state’s newest efforts to lead the development of strategies to address bias and hate at their roots and to strengthen responses to hate crime in California. The Bureau will initially bring six new attorneys and a supervising deputy attorney general to DOJ's Civil Rights Enforcement Section to help tackle some of California's most pressing racial and social justice issues head on. Given the recent reported rise in hate crimes and incidents against members of the Asian Pacific Islander community in particular, Attorney General Bonta is recommitting DOJ to further engaging with communities across the state to identify pathways for better serving the needs of all those facing hate.

Sacramento, CA...Gusty north to east wind, low humidity and unseasonably dry fuels will continue critical fire weather conditions over portions of the Valley, Delta and surrounding foothills below 2000 feet. Strongest winds expected along the west side of the Sacramento Valley, and through favorably oriented gaps and canyons in the surrounding foothills, through early Tuesday. Breezy winds continue through the day Tuesday over the western side of the Valley and the Delta, along with very low afternoon humidity levels. Winds weaken Tuesday night and become onshore for mid to late week, with humidity levels trending up. The Full Warning is below...
