Havalia Vegetation Management Plan (VMP). Smoke from this project may be visible in the Tuolumne area. The prescribed burn will provide protection from wildland fire to the town of Tuolumne by maintaining the strategic Mt. Havalia Fuel Break. The prescribed fire will also improve range conditions by reducing star thistle and other noxious weeds. If conditions are conducive, approximately 25 acres of grass and oak woodland understory will be burned. Burn hours may vary between daytime and evening.
