Washington, DC...Congressman McClintock delivered the following remarks yesterday on the House floor. The Congressman voted NO on H. Res. 489. "Mr. Speaker: We have unfortunately entered a period of our history when our political rhetoric has become hyperbolic, while our political views are becoming increasingly irreconcilable. We would all be well advised not to continue down this path. “America, love it or leave it” is not a new sentiment or a radical sentiment and it is certainly not a racist sentiment. It should remind us of commonly held and enduring founding principles that ought to unite us as Americans: respect for the rule of law, and the uniquely American principles of individual liberty, constitutionally limited government and personal responsibility that have produced the happiest, most productive and most powerful nation in the history of the world.

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/15/2019 01:26 PM
San Andreas, CA...The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) will be conducting a prescribed burn in Tuolumne County on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15 -17, 2019 on the Mt. Havalia Vegetation Management Plan (VMP). Smoke from this project may be visible in the Tuolumne area. The prescribed burn will provide protection from wildland fire to the town of Tuolumne by maintaining the strategic Mt. Havalia Fuel Break. The prescribed fire will also improve range conditions by reducing star thistle and other noxious weeds.
If conditions are conducive, approximately 25 acres of grass and oak woodland understory will be burned. Burn hours may vary between daytime and evening.
