Hop Over to Frogtown as COVID-19 Testing Site Now Offering Walk-Ins |

Angels Camp CA..(Frogtown, USA)..OptumServe, a health services partner with the State of California, is now accepting walk-ins at the local COVID-19 testing site located at the Calaveras Fairgrounds outside of Angels Camp. This is in large part to expanded efforts to bring COVID-19 testing to the county.

Stanislaus National Forest Initiates Seasonal Fire Restrictions Effective Immediately |

Sonora, CA...The Stanislaus National Forest issued Forest Order STF-16-2020-08, which enacts campfire restrictions to protect natural resources, to provide for public and employee safety and community protection. Restrictions are effective immediately and are in effect until further notice. Igniting, building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, or stove fire is prohibited on the Stanislaus National Forest outside of open, developed recreation sites and certain permitted facilities. Forest Service Extends Closure of Most Developed Recreation Sites on Stanislaus National Forest Through June 15 |

Sonora, CA...The Stanislaus National Forest announced that most developed recreation sites will remain closed through June 15, 2020. The local forest order STF-16-2020-07 is scheduled to expire May 31. The new forest order, STF-16-2020-09, is effective from June 1, 2020 through June 15. A copy of the forest order will be posted on the Stanislaus National Forest web page as soon as it is available.
