Welcome Readers....Happy Mother’s Day! This day has turned out to be the busiest restaurant day of the year. Everyone wants to treat mom to a day away from the kitchen by either taking her out or by preparing a very special meal cooked by her children. Over $15,000 Raised at Take It To Heart's Celebrity Luncheon 2008~By John Hamilton

Murphys, CA...The Main Hall at Ironstone Vineyards was filled again today for a good cause. It was the Annual Celebrity Luncheon to raise money for the Take It To Heart Foundation. There were Spelunkers (Larry Cornish), Super Heroes (Lisa Westbrook), Clowns (Chatom Vineyards), Supervisor Candidates in Fishnet Stockings (Ron Klass) an entire Table of Candidates and much more. At this event prominent figures in the local community don their best costumes and the proverbial apron (In Tom Tryon's Case it was a real apron) to wait tables for a good cause. Over $15,000 was raised for the charity that has been recently focusing on reducing childhood obesity in both Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties...

Greetings from Cabo San Lucas....No, I am not there physically, but there is not a Cinco de Mayo that goes by when I do not recall the fabulous excursion my girlfriends and I experienced when we took a trip there one year. Where do I begin? Landing at the tiny airport and being solicited by rows of vendors yelling to us, both in Spanish and English, on both sides of the crowded aisles as we made our way to the outside of the terminal, which was actually a small tin building with glass windows and a door, was a real eye opener as to the....
