Angels Camp, CA...No-cost testing for COVID-19 is available to anyone who would like to get one. The OptumServe COVID-19 testing site located at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds is open Tuesday-Saturday from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Testing is available to those age 12 and older. Walk-ins are not accepted at this time. People are highly encouraged to register online by going to www.lhi.care/covidtesting. People without internet access should call (888) 634-1123.
Calaveras Children’s Dental Project Comes to An End

Angels Camp, CA...After 23 years providing preventive dental services and oral health education to children of Calaveras County, the Calaveras Children’s Dental Project is coming to an end. “For a variety of reasons, now is a good time to stop,” stated Laurie Perry, RDH, RDHAP Dental Hygienist who has managed the project since its inception in 1997. “I am very proud of the services this program has provided over the past 23 years to the children in our county.”

The case is an adult male over the age of 65 years old. The case resides in the West Point area. Amador County, CA – This evening, June 22, 2020, Amador County Public Health reported one additional case of COVID-19 in Amador County. The new case is an adult female in her 20s who is a resident of Jackson, with a travel history indicating exposure to the virus outside of the county. This new case is isolated and recovering at home.

Amador County, CA....On Saturday, June 20, 2020, Amador County Public Health reported one additional case of COVID-19 in Amador County. The new case is an adult male in his 50s who is a resident of Sutter Creek, currently hospitalized in a neighboring county.

The two unrelated cases include one adult female and one adult male both between the ages of 18 to 49 years old. Both cases reside in the Valley Springs area. The source of exposure is being investigated. “People should stay home as much as possible, especially those at higher risk for severe illness to COVID-19. Take the necessary preventive actions to keep Calaveras County safe and healthy if you do go out,” said Dr. Dean Kelaita, Calaveras County Health Officer. “Everyone plays a crucial role in protecting the health and well-being of our community.”
