Grandpa Glen charged his life until the very end. He was working at Angels Food Market Wednesday doing what he loved so much; enjoying customers, his family and keeping up the grocery store.

223,000 New Jobs in May, Unemployment Drops to 3.8%

Washington, DC...Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 223,000 in May, and the unemployment rate edged down to 3.8 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment continued to trend up in several industries, including retail trade, health care, and construction.

Sonora, CA...After extensive and thorough investigations, CAL FIRE investigators have determined that four Northern California wildfires in last year’s October Fire Siege were caused by trees coming into contact with power lines. The four fires, located in Butte and Nevada counties, are the first fire investigations from last October to be completed.
