Copperopolis, CA....It was the Yankees vs the White Sox Today at Blackcreek Park, the Score…16/2. The Calaveras American Little League Yankees and the White Sox took the field today in high spirits after a weekend of frog jump fun. The Yankees from Angels Camp sponsored by Teichert Construction with a 1/6 record came ready to play. The White Sox from Angels Camp and Copperopolis sponsored by Jackson Insurance with a 4/4 record showed spirit. The pitching was fast and furious while the batter’s showed a sharp eye for just the right pitch. Outfield was kept busy with some fly balls, while the infield ran for plenty of grounders....

Angels Camp, CA...The local High School Baseball season has just rounded third and is heading for home. Bret Harte just dropped two games to Summerville which moves them to 1/2 game back of now league leading Linden. who they face at home tomorrow. Summerville is a game back, followed by Calaveras, Argonaut & Amador. If you are in Angels tomorrow stop by the field and cheer...

Emphasis is on learning to play soccer and having fun on the field! This year there are two ways to register, online or on paper. "Welcome to the 2010 Soccer Season EPYSL goes green and it’s not just grass stains anymore. This year we are encouraging more online registration, sending out fewer paper forms and doing our best to grow the league’s programs while keeping costs down.....

San Andreas, CA.....The Lady Reds beat Argonaut 3-2 in San Andreas on Friday. Calaveras scored first in the bottom of the 1st inning when Ashley O’Looney got a lead off single and Samantha Golston drove her in. Argonaut scored in the 2nd inning when their lead off batter reached 2nd with a single and and error in the outfield. Another error in the outfield allowed the runner to score. Argonaut scored again in their half of the 3rd when a batter reached on the third and last Calaveras error. A single moved her over and a double by ......
