Sheep Ranch, CA...An 18 year old Berkeley man was driving his 2011 Polaris Ranger vehicle westbound on a private driveway approaching Sheep Ranch Road and an undetermined rate of speed. He allowed the vehicle to travel off of the gravel driveway and on the north shoulder. As he was attempting to get the vehicle back onto the driveway he lost control and the vehicle rolled over onto its side ejecting both the driver and the passenger.

Arrest In Angels Camp For Threatening An Officer & More

Angels Camp, CA...On August 10th, 2016 at approximately 9:15 PM officers from the Angels Camp Police Department were dispatched to the 1000 block of Tuolumne Avenue, on a report of a male subject walking in the area brandishing a baseball bat and challenging people to fight. Upon arrival to the area officers located a man matching the description provided, hiding in a carport in the 900 block of Tuolumne Avenue. As officers made their approach to the man he discarded the bat inside the carport.

FOCSO is dedicated to partnering with the Calaveras County Sheriffs Office by raising funds for programs and equipment not covered, or fully covered, in the county budget. The nonprofit most recently supported projects for equipment/programs for the SO’s Crime Scene Technician, Detective Division, Sheriffs Volunteers, Youth Explorer Program, Patrol Deputies, Correction Officers, Defensive Tactics Training, Canine Program, First Aid essentials and many other projects.

It is thought that someone may have picked her up, as she is gone without a trace! She may be disoriented, and has age related memory issues. Law enforcement stated to the family that in 35 years, this has NEVER happened (not finding someone dead or alive)! This was one of the Largest Searches EVER! Let's help bring Roz home to her family!

Jace Nichols, 4 Passes Away From Injures In Aug, 2nd Collision, Tyler Nichols, 31 To Be Charged With Manslaughter

San Andreas, CA...On August 2nd Tyler Nichols, 31 was driving a 2003 Saturn southbound on Riata Way approaching Tapadero Street at approximately 30 miles an hour. He entered into a left hand curve in the roadway. He failed to negotiate the curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway onto the dirt/gravel shoulder. He attempted to regain control of the vehicle by turning sharply to the left which caused the Saturn to in a counterclockwise direction, traveled to the left across the roadway and onto the east shoulder where the right rear of the vehicle struck a large tree.

Sheriff's Volunteers Help Keep Traffic Flowing At Annual Flea Market

Arnold, CA...Under the coordination of Sgt. Vic Farina, Capt. Betty Miner, Sgt. Ed Evans, Bruce Greenfield, Sandra Kraft, Barry Macler, and Pat Toepel of the Calaveras County Sheriff Volunteer Unit provided traffic control at the 2016 Arnold Independence Hall on Saturday and Sunday . The Flea Market was well attended by the local residents and out of town visitors. Everyone who attended the Flea Market found great bargains and enjoyed the beautiful weather outdoors.
