Sheriff's Office Seeking Additional Information On Circle XX Shooting

Angels Camp, CA...On 06/28/15, at about 1150 hours, Deputies responded to a report of a male subject trying to force his way into a home on the 6000 block of Chaparojos Street, Angels Camp, threatening to kill 29 year old Derek Rutherford. The occupant armed himself with a hand gun in fear for his safety. The male subject continued to threaten Rutherford and to force entry, when a third party arrived. The male suspect then turned his focus on her and told Rutherford that he would kill the female. Derek Rutherford exited the residence, shooting the male suspect multiple times. The suspect succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Derek Rutherford was questioned about the incident and released. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing...

San Andreas, CA....Three vehicles were stopped in a construction zone eastbound on SR12 at Central Hill. A fourth vehicle was eastbound on SR12 at about 55mph, approaching the rear of stopped traffic. The driver of the vehicle was inattentive to his driving by reaching for his lunchbox. He applied his brakes and left 69 feet of locked wheel skid marks prior to striking the rear of the parked vehicle in front of him...

Jamestown, CA...On June 19, 2015, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Detectives contacted Cameron Cisco in regards to an ongoing investigation regarding possession of child pornography. Investigation, evidence and statements revealed that Cameron Cisco was involved in downloading images of child pornography. Detectives submitted a report to the Calaveras County District Attorney’s Office and obtained a warrant for Cisco’s arrest...

Sacramento, CA...Californians may be experienced with warm weather driving, but the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) warns that summer presents a new set of challenges on the roads. “Carefree summer travel requires extra care by motorists to make sure the trip is not ruined by problems,” CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow said. “Drive at a safe speed, maintain your vehicle, and be aware of the challenges of summer driving.”

Major Injuries In Hwy 4 Head On Collision

Angels Camp, CA...Party #1 was driving Vehicle #1 in the Eastbound traffic lane of State Route 4 at approximately 65MPH. Party #2 was driving Vehicle #2 in the Westbound traffic lane of State Route 4 at approximately 55MPH. P-1, due to his unsafe speed, allowed V-1 to travel left of the left of the solid double yellow center line while attempting to negotiate a natural curve in the roadway to his right. P-2 observed V-1 approaching him within P-2’s traffic lane and applied his brakes forcefully.

Four Arrested in Glencoe

Glencoe, CA...On 06/13/15 at 1540 hours, a Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the 19000 block of Hwy 26, in Glencoe, to investigate a trespassing issue. As the Deputy made contact with the property owner, she could hear subjects yelling from the canyon. The property owner told the deputy that she was on her private property with her daughters when she observed three male trespassers. She confronted Michael Pinon (22 years old), Donald Pinon (19 years old), and a 14 year old minor about them trespassing on her property. The suspects became upset with the property owner and her daughters. One of the suspects began to physically bump into the landowner and threatened to hit her. A neighbor, Edward Huss (73 years old), responded to the property and observed the disturbance. As the trespassers began to run from the property, Huss fired a warning shot in their direction....

Armed Man Arrested at Lake Camanche

Valley Springs, CA...On 06/14/15 at 0400 hours, Deputies were dispatched to 11700 Wade Lane, at Lake Camanche campgrounds, for a report of a man shooting a gun into the air. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted several campers who described the shooter as a large, bald man, wearing a white t-shirt. Campers advised that the suspect had been talking about gangs, making “pop sounds”, and later followed with a real gunshot. Deputies contacted (S) Angelo Esquer nearby and placed him under arrest. A search of Angelo Esquer’s person was conducted, yielding methamphetamine and a switchblade knife. Deputies also located a small semi-auto handgun located in the nearby area....

Murphys, CA...The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the disappearance of Mr. Mark Dantche. Investigators have determined Mr. Dantche’s cell phone was last used in the area of Sheep Ranch Road in Murphy’s, rather than the area of Beardsley Reservoir. Mr. Dantche was last known to be in contact with friends and relatives during the evening hours of May 30, 2015.
