Valley Springs, CA...On 3/29/2015 at approximately 1805 hours, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 300 block of Paloma Road, in Valley Springs, for a report of a male subject being attacked by two men with baseball bats. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a 59 year old male who was covered in blood from an apparent head injury. Medical personal tended to the victim’s injuries and requested an air ambulance to transport the victim to a valley hospital...

Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest In Jamestown

Jamestown, CA...On 3/3/15 Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a “homeless camp” near Highway 108 and Stockton Avenue on a report of an altercation. Responding Deputies met with the 40 year old male victim who reported he had been assaulted and threatened by two males. At one point during the altercation one of the males fired at least one shot from a handgun, and demanded the victim leave the area...

San Andreas Woman Loses Her Life In Accident Near Mokelumne Hill

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Connie Sullivan, 53 From San Andreas lost her life in an accident near Mokelumne Hill. The accident occurred at approximately 3:15pm and Sullivan was driving her 1991 Dodge in the southbound traffic lane of SR-49 at an unknown speed when, for an unknown reason, she allowed her vehicle to travel to the right and off the paved portion of the roadway. The Dodge traveled down the steep embankment and overturned. After the collision, it came to rest on its roof facing in an Easterly direction off the roadway, and down the embankment...

Bob Fienberg, Jim Garrick, Kathleen Hogue Gonzalez,Sandra Kraft, Judy McMurtry, Cpt. Betty Miner, Ron Parker and Rudy Silberbauer provided traffic control during the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade last Saturday in Murphys. This annual public event was well attended. Rail Road Flat, CA...On 03/23/15 at about 2108hrs, The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department responded to Lakeside Mobile Home Park, in Rail Road Flat, for a reported stabbing. The victim was a 19 year old male who sustained multiple stab wounds on his chest, back, and side. The victim was conscious and alert upon deputies’ arrival. Moderate Injuries In Hwy 4 Accident

Arnold, CA....This morning at 11:25am a 51 year old Bear Valley man was traveling east and a 21 year old man from Forest Meadows was driving west on Hwy 4 near Red Tail Hawk Drive when the accident occurred. The Murphys resident turned his 2003 Toyota in front of the Toyota Tundra driven by the Bear Valley resident. The driver of the Tundra braked but was unable to avoid a broadside collision...
