Murphys, CA...The Ironstone Concours d’Elegance is an antique and classic car show held each September at Ironstone Vineyards near Murphys, California. Some 300+ antique and classic cars participate. The event also features vintage trailers, housecars, antique trucks and motorcycles, race cars and wooden boats. Honored guests from the old-car hobby and the auto industry regularly participate.

Murphys, CA...(What follows is our coverage from last year's event to get you in the mood for this weekend! This is always our favorite weekend of the year in Murphys) Best of Show for 2018 on went to a Beautiful 1928 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8 Castagna Cabriolet at Ironstone Concours d'Elegance. The Stevens Family from San Francisco are the proud owners. In a show that seems to get better every year as this year drew over 400 priceless rolling works of art and history to the stunning backdrop of Ironstone Vineyards. Below are photos of some of the winners and if you click on any of the images it will take you to a post with larger images in a slideshow as well. We also have video of the full awards ceremony as we have been doing since 2006 for this event.

Enjoy a day in Murphys and leave the driving to Calaveras Connect! Don’t miss their extended hours and service to Ironstone Concerts! Saturdays in Murphys - are available at no charge (donations gratefully accepted) on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum. Angels Camp, CA...Bret Harte Bullfrogs under the tutiledge of new Head Coach Kelly Osborn won Friday's home game against Arroyo High School from San Lorenzo 13-7. The Bret Harte JV Bullfrogs also took their game 18 to 7!! The Bullfrogs played a tough, error free, gritty game. We have full game video below. We have the 2nd half of the JV Game and the entire Varsity Game with a separate clip for half time.

San Andreas, CA...The Artists Studio Tour is a two day event that offers art collectors and enthusiasts the opportunity to tour the county and see the artwork of our rural and urban artists. Some of the artists on our tour rarely exhibit publicly, so this is an opportunity to meet them and see their work. It encourages a close personal relationship between artists and art lovers.

Arnold, CA...The 24th annual Logging Jamboree was August 31st at the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum. Prizes, BBQ by Moose, Silent Auction, Kids Games & more. This wonderful annual Labor Day Weekend jamboree had something for adults and children. The Arnold Rim Trail Association again had a booth at the Jamboree, as the Calaveras District of the Forest Service. Located in White Pines. Delicious food and beer, wine and soft drinks were available. Raffles with cool prizes & more added to the great cross cut sawing, axe throwing, chain saw events and more.
