Mokelumne Hilll, CA....On Saturday evening to a standing room only crowd, the Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee presented Calaveras County the opportunity to meet with actor/activist / author Mike Farrell at a book signing for his newly published book “Of Mule and Man” at the Historic Leger Hotel in Mokelumne Hill. With the mission of the CCDCC being to “encourage the growth and success of the Democratic Party within their county by coordinating and promoting Party activities” it seemed as if this particular hosted event was a success...

Danville, CA...The Sierra Foothills Wine Alliance (comprised of Calaveras, Amador and El Dorado County wineries) would like to invite you to attend "Moving Mountains" The Sierra Foothills Wine Experience. The Alliance's first event will take place Sunday, September 19 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Blackhawk Country Club in Danville (eastern Contra Costa County) and will double as a benefit for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, which will collect 100% of the proceeds from an on-site silent auction. Over 30 wineries will be pouring their finest wines, accompanied by delicious, Mediterranean-style finger foods and live flamenco music...

Copperopolis, CA...Local singer/songwriter Josh Pfeiffer will be releasing his debut CD at "Ballroom Under The Stars" in Copperopolis Town Square on September 11th at 7:30. The concert is free with a nominal $5 parking fee to benefit 4-H. The CD titled "American Crooner ACT: 1", will feature many standards as well as five original compositions...
