Angels Camp, CA…. Bret Harte High School Senior Holli Bledsoe shows her art to the community this week at the (CCOE) Calaveras County Office of Education. The show began this morning at 8am. The showing hours are from 8-5 today, and 8-7 tomorrow. Beautiful work is on display and for sale by donation……

Columbia College Calaveras Center Hosts Public Art Show and Reception |

Angels Camp, CA....The works of Columbia College art students will be featured at the college’s Calaveras Center Art Show and Reception on Friday, Apr. 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend the free event, which will be held at the center at 2892 Highway 49, Suite 4 in Angels Camp. Entertainment will be provided by guest guitarist Keith Evans, and refreshments will be prepared by the college’s culinary and pastry arts students......

Murphys, CA…. Ironstone Vineyards was in full bloom for Daffodil Days 2008, this weekend. The yellow celebration included food, wine, art and thousands of daffodils. Ironstone has 14 acres of approximately 500,000 daffodils in bloom during this time of year, creating a yellow field of blooms along the road into the vineyards and winery….

San Andreas, CA....Following up a call for artists in the Calaveras County Arts Council’s 11th annual ArtSpirit Show, 131 high school students from four high schools entered a total of 200 works in eleven categories. Cash awards of $10 for First Prize, $5 for Second Prize, and Third Place ribbons were given in each category. Additionally, a $20 Popular Choice Award will be presented after the April 17 closing of the exhibit, which is open to the public at 22 Main Street in San Andreas. Here are the results....
