San Andreas, CA...The Calaveas County Water District Board is rested and ready to get back to work in 2015. Tops on the consent agenda is to Ratify Claim Summary #514 Secretarial Fund in the Amount of $1,120,966.92. Director Mills will also lead a discussion of the Draft Calaveras County General Plan. These items and much, much more will keep them busy Wednesday morning in the board room at the CCWD office in San Andreas....

Frogtown, USA...Young riders who wish to participate in the Calalveras County Fair Junior Horse Show and are not affiliated with 4-H, Grange, FFA, Pony Club of America or Harmony Ranch must register as an independent exhibitor by January 13, 2015. Also riders who are leasing a horse must have their leases turned into the Fairgrounds by January 13, 2015. Forms are available at frogtown.org. Stay Calm and Ride On!

Valley Springs, CA...George (Teddy) Berry died Saturday, January 3, 2015. Teddy was born September 26, 1956 in Santa Clara County, CA He moved to Valley Springs (Paloma) with his family in 1970. He competed in the Special Olympics. He went to school and vocational training through Valley Mountain Regional Center. During his adult life, he resided in Stockton at different cares homes. He loved eating pancakes and enjoyed playing pinball, slot machines, listening to the radio especially rock and roll music, shopping for electronics at the second hand stores, and tinkering with electronics which led to his employment as a radio repairman....
