CCWD Notifying Customers of Proposed Water, Sewer Rate Increases

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/29/2018 11:49 PM
San Andreas, CA...After more than a year of in-depth analysis and discussion, the Calaveras County Water District Board of Directors instructed staff to send written notifications to customers regarding proposed changes to rates for the District’s 13,000 water customers and 5,000 sewer customers (click here to read the notice). These notices are required by Proposition 2018 (Prop. 218), which is a constitutional amendment passed in 1996 that ensures public agencies notify customers before rates or fees are changed. Prop. 218 also requires a 45-day period between the mailing of the notices and the date of a final public hearing, at which time the new water and sewer rates will be voted on by CCWD Board members. CCWD’s public rate hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. May 23, 2018, at the District’s headquarters at 120 Toma Court, San Andreas. All information regarding the proposed rate changes will be posted to www.ccwd.org/rates.

The CCWD Board of Directors. From left, Division 4 Director Russ Thomas, Division 5 Director Jeff Davidson, Division 1 Director Scott Ratterman, Division 2 Director Terry Strange and Division 3 Director Bertha Underhill.

The 2018 Battle for the Badge With Gary Stevens, Pat Garrahan & Rick Dibasilio

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/22/2018 09:00 AM
San Andreas, CA...Our county should feel gratitude that there are 3 qualified men that care enough about their communities to throw their hats in the ring and run for the office of Sheriff. The candidates are Gary Stevens, Pat Garrahan and appointed Sheriff Rick Dibasilio. Thank You to all of you who emailed in questions!! Of the 70 or so questions we tried to distill them down into the dominate themes such as school safety, cannabis, staffing, vision for the department & more. All three men would provide quality and qualified leadership to the department. The choice is yours and hopefully the video from last night can help you make that decision. We would like to thank Ed Lark and his crews at PATV for not only recording the show for local television but for preparing sound system and venue for last night. Thank You to all of you who attended in person and take the time to watch the video below...

PATV Has Finished Their Video and it is Below
