Vallecito, CA...Have you ever been out to Twisted Oak Winery in Vallecito? Well, if you haven't yet, you are really missing out on something special! They are a bit "Twisted" out there at the winery, but that is was makes it such a unique place to visit where they are famous for their Rubber chickens!....

San Francisco, CA..."Results from the 2008 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition are in and Irish Family Vineyards Wins big again. Every wine that the Irish's entered took an award and many other wineries in Calaveras County won also, putting Calaveras County wines on the map once again...

Douglas Flat, CA... We had the pleasure of spending 30 minutes with one of the integral parts of the local wine industry, Gay Callan of Chatom Vineyards. Gay Callan and Chatom Vineyards have been growing and producing great wines here locally in Calaveras County since the early 1980's. Now with over 20 area wineries and more on the way we thought it would be a great time to spend a few minutes getting to know one of the people and businesses that has been here for much of the industry's growth. Gay is a native San Franciscan but her family has deep farming roots in the Central Valley.
