Bear Valley, CA...Mother Nature returns with a wave of rain & snow ahead of Thanksgiving. Bear Valley & other resorts are making snow and looking for Mother Nature to do her part as well. The NWS Forecast for the West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada is: Today At lower elevations, rain. At higher elevations, snow and a chance of rain in the morning, then rain and snow in the afternoon. Breezy. Highs 35 to 50 higher elevations...43 to 57 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...3 to 5 inches higher elevations. Snow level 6500 feet. Prevailing south winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 40 mph...except south 25 to 40 mph over ridges. Tonight Rain at lower elevations...and rain and snow at higher elevations. Colder. Lows 26 to 40 higher elevations...38 to 44 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...2 to 4 inches higher elevations. Snow level 7000 feet. Prevailing south winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 35 mph.

Bear Valley, CA...For those who missed his ‘A Walk in the Park with David Vassar,’ presented at the Bret Harte Theater in June 2017, Bear Valley Resort and Backcountry Pictures will present a very intimate encore presentation on Friday, November 25, 2016. This VIP presentation is limited to only 150 tickets and will be presented in Bear Valley Resorts’ majestic Cathedral Lounge as part of Winterfest Weekend. The presentation will be followed by a wine and cheese reception with the filmmaker and each attendee will receive a free Bear Valley 2016/17 day lift ticket valued at $79.
