Bear Valley, CA...Conditions are fantastic!! Come on up and rip it up! And make plans to be here this President's Weekend. With another GS Race, Winter Explosion and First Tracks, there's plenty to keep you busy on and off the snow!
Remember to observe all posted warnings about the lower Mtn and please use caution as the avalanche risk will be moderate for the surrounding areas. Ride safe!!. Full snow report is enclosed.....

Bear Valley AT&T GS Race #2 This Weekend!

Bear Valley, CA....Bear Valley Mountain Resort will host the second of it's AT&T GS Race Series this Saturday, February 16th. Other race dates of this series are February 16th and March 15th, 2008. Bear Valley's GS Racing is an awesome way to spend your afternoon. Open to all ages and abilities, test your times against other Bear Valley riders. Registration: Sign up the day of the race at the slope-side Special Events shack from 9:30am~10:30am. Entry Fees are $10/race for Adults (13+) and $5/race for Kids (12 and under). $20 Bib Deposit. Dodge Ridge Hosted the Ryan Lavagnino Classic Last Weekend

Dodge Ridge, CA...The Dodge Ridge Race Team played host this weekend to the Far West USSA ski race teams. It was the firs GS race for the year. The Central Series Teams that participated in this race were Bear Valley, Dodge Ridge, Sierra Summit and Badger Pass. Even though the conditions were tough, there4 was still over 100 young ambitious athletes that performed well. It was cold and blustery at the top of the course. Everyone had to keep moving to stay warm. The Dodge Ridge Staff even brought up blankets to keep the starting line staff warm. The race was cancelled on Sunday due to Dodge Ridge receiving too much snow on Saturday night, which made it difficult to be able to set the course for Sunday. The results from Saturday's times determined the outcome for the weekend...

26 Burn Survivor's Enjoying a Weekend of Play up at Bear Valley!

Bear Valley, CA....The Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation kids have arrived in Bear Valley for their Annual weekend of playing in our Winter Wonderland. This year there are 26 kids participating. For the past 13 years this been a tradition for this foundation. Bear Valley Mountain Resort has donated rentals, lift tickets and food. The Bear Valley portion of this project has been graciously facilitated by Rosie Sundell and Jim Gentling. Chapel in the Pines of Arnold has donated lodging for these kids. The Ebbetts Pass Fire Department has graciously provided breakfasts and dinners.....
