Hazel Fischer Third-graders Receive Personal Dictionaries |

Arnold, CA....Today the Arnold Rotarians watched the smiles light up as they distributed personal dictionaries to third grade students at Hazel Fischer Elementary School in Arnold. Teacher Carol Hart has already introduced her students to such dictionary skills as using guide words and entry words, and understanding multiple meanings. Mrs. Hart will lead her students in a deeper exploration of the world of language, building their literacy in both print and digital media as the school year continues...

Angels Camp, CA....In this episode of Elémentaire TV, Dave and Jenny show you how to make some festive seasonal appetizers with a side of red wine cocktail. Elémentaire is the creation of two professional cooks dedicated to helping take the mystery out of making delicious meals from scratch. Our goal is to educate through the use of culinary terms and techniques and also inspire, through the use of the freshest seasonal ingredients, all who watch to make their own meals to enjoy at home. Chester, Moose & Zeus Are Waiting For You |

San Andreas, CA...Chester is a gorgeous chocolate Labrador mix and is about 2 years old. Chester is one of those great dogs that wants to bond with his own special person who will teach him how much fun the world can be. If you are looking for a friend who will love and adore you, Chester is a must see. Chester will have to be neutered before going home with you. Moose is a 10 month old, 88 pound, untrained lab and maybe mastiff mix. So this is the typical knucklehead pup, with no manners, lumbers around and can knock you over (but honestly does not mean it) and slobbers all over. Could pull a sled of people all around because he is so strong but again, he is a 10 month old, totally untrained lab pup who is totally appropriately named. So if you have the time, energy, strength and love to give Moose come on down to the shelter and have a look at him. Moose has tons of potential in the correct home. He needs to be neutered ,before going home with you.

Calaveras County Real Estate Market Continues to Rebound |

Calaveras, CA...The average value of homes in Calaveras County continued to increase during the 3rd quarter of this year. According to sales data the Calaveras County Association Realtors (CCAR) reports the stabilizing of our local real estate market values continued to improve by 4.48% this past 3 months. CCAR Administrative Executive, Valerie Moon said the median sell price of a Calaveras County residential property this time last year was $165,000. This year that number has hit $210,000 so far...

For boys and girls currently playing in the U10, U13 & U16 divisions (8 - 18 year olds), both league play including winter league and sping league, as well as tournament play opportunities afford our players the opportunity to keep their foot on the ball long after fall rec season....

Angels Camp, CA....Bret Harte High School had a great Homecoming Day on Friday afternoon and evening. From the parade and rally down Main Street to the JV wining their game 27-14 over Amador, Haley Smoot being crowned Homecoming Queen all the wary to halftime when the Varsity Bullfrogs were tied with the very tough Amador Team it was a close to perfect day. The Bullfrogs slipped a bit in the second half and Amador rolled up some unanswered points to take the Varsity game. We would like to thank Jeff Rasmussen for another batch of great photos for the Bret Harte students and families to put in the memory books to relive Homecoming 2013 now and into the future.
