San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 16th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 27th from 7am to noon on the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. “Hosting our community health fairs allows us to express our gratitude to those that entrust us with their health care needs,” said Craig Marks, Hospital President. “Our health fairs benefit individuals that are underserved or working towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Our providers and staff are here to share preventative care and health maintenance tips. Providing affordable health care services is one way we serve our community. This is a joint effort with many other entities working together, especially the Health Care District that helps fund this initiative, to ensure that Calaveras County residents can thrive in a healthy community.”

Traffic Update....Ladies & Gentlemen We Have Another GPS Trucker Near Ebbetts Summit

Lake Alpine, CA...Crews are working to free a jack knifed big rig with a 53 foot trailer near Pacific Grade Summit. In the past we have had trucks with full trailers go over the sides of both Hwy 4 and Hwy 108 passes. Typically it seems a driver was following their GPS's for "shortest route". Expect delays until this incident is cleared....

Mark Twain Medical Center Invited Patients & Community To Mix & Mingle With Their Providers

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center has been on a roll. Patient counts are way up. MTMC is well down the path to recruit and bring 30 new physicians to the area. There have been new services, new equipment added, Medical offices spruced up and more. On August 27th, they held a meet and greet allow existing and new patients to get to know their providers outside of an office visit. Refreshments and Hors d'Oeuvres were served, offices available for tours and more....

Highs 62 to 77 higher elevations...76 to 86 lower elevations. Prevailing southeast winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southwest in the afternoon. Tonight Clear...colder. Lows 40 to 55 higher elevations... 52 to 64 lower elevations. Prevailing southwest winds 5 to 15 mph in the evening becoming light....
