Arnold, CA...Today Mostly sunny. Warmer. Highs 48 to 63 higher elevations... 60 to 68 lower elevations. Prevailing south winds up to 15 mph. Tonight Partly cloudy in the evening...then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain or higher elevation snow after midnight. Lows 32 to 47 higher elevations...42 to 52 lower elevations. Prevailing south winds 5 to 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph...except southwest 15 to 30 mph over ridges.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Tuesday brings us another day of fine weather and riding & skiing. The high today will be 52F with SSW winds from 8-22mph. Groomers have been the thing over the last week of so and well........you gotta get up here and enjoy the smooth ride! Spring corn style skiing and riding starts to get in shape around 11am so ski or ride the aspects which follow the sun for all day fun. Come on up and experience the easiest drive to any resort on the west slope, all weather Highway 4, always open, easy and fun! SOCHI, Russia (Feb. 27, 2016) – The next generation of ski racers kicked off the FIS Junior World Ski Championships on Saturday, with American Erik Arvidsson (Woodside, CA, U.S. Ski Team/Squaw Valley Ski Team/Bear Valley) snagging a huge win in the downhill.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Saturday ushers in a beautiful weekend of sunny weather, great events, live music an awesome brewfest and food from Chef Bob Mason! Today's high will come in around 48F and SE winds from 6-8mph shifting to the SW later in the afternoon. Sunday looks to be the same with a slight increase in the daytime high. Continued beautiful sunny weather looks to be in place all week long. There is a disturbance in the force projected for next weekend but we'll let that pan out over the next few days before we nails that event down. Bear Valley, CA...On Saturday, March 12th, cross country skiers from near and far will assemble in the Bear Valley Meadow for the 43rd running of the Bjornloppet Ski Race and Festival. With a 10:30 am start, The Bjornloppet, meaning Bear Race in Norwegian, is enjoyed by young and old alike. There are divisions for all ages and two distances are offered, 20 kilometers (two laps) and 10 kilometers in Saturday’s freestyle (striding or ski skating) race. The mass start is fun to watch with the go-fast racers using the ski skating technique. The course winds through aspen trees, over some roller coaster terrain and ends up on the Bjornloppet Trail with its notorious Bjornloppet Downhill. Big thrills are part of the racing game as the race can be won or lost on this section alone. After the race is over, skiers will gather for an outrageous awards party with food, awards and prizes from Salomon, Clif Bar and many of the local merchants.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Friday is here and the weekend is right behind it! Todays high will be 52F with South winds from 6-15mph with possible gusts to 23mph. The weekend looks to be stellar with the daytime high dropping a few degrees but beautiful weather is expected. The precip event has been moved out of the picture for Sunday now so clear weather and PMF is what's going on!
