Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! 6" of new snow at 5am and 17" for the current storm total and more on the way! Today another 4-8" of new snow could fall and winds will be out of the SSW from 10-3-mph. We are already seeing some fluctuations in the forecast in the last 36hrs so anything is possible. Tonight snow showers are expected and a few more inches cold fall. Sunday brings back partly sunny skies and warming temps. Spring is here and so is fluctuating weather patterns and forecasts...........Expect possible delays on the upper and lower mountain due to high snow fall and winds today. Come on up and check us out and our "Pure Mtn Fun" ethos as we're staying open until April 23rd 2017.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Eight inches of new snow at 5am and more on the way! A possible 6-10" of new snow could fall today with SSW winds from 25-40mph. We are already seeing some fluctuations in the forecast overnight so anything is possible over the next 48hrs-from lot's of snow and high winds to moderate amounts of snow........... Spring is here and so is fluctuating weather patterns and forecasts...........Expect possible delays on the upper and lower mountain due to high snow fall and winds today. Bear Valley, CA...Bear Valley has announced a new 2017 spring season pass as well as its 2017/18 season pass. Both passes come with a variety of mountain perks and discounts including discounts on lessons, buddy passes, retail, food and beverage. The 2017 spring season pass provides unlimited lift access for the rest of the 2016/17 season which runs through April 23, and costs less than the price of two adult tickets. The pass offers the same perks as a full season pass including a 10 percent off retail, 13+ group lessons, food items and discounted buddy tickets, and can be traded-in for a 2017/18 pass if upgraded by April 30. The cost for an adult spring pass is $139 (ages 23+) and youth Spring pass is $99 (ages under 22).

Bear Valley, CA...More rain & snow is on the way to our area along the West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Winter Storm Warning for snow, which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 PM PDT Saturday. Today Mostly cloudy. Scattered rain showers at lower elevations...and scattered rain and snow showers at higher elevations. Breezy. Highs 39 to 54 higher elevations...51 to 63 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...up to 1 inch higher elevations. Snow level 7000 feet. Prevailing south winds 5 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 40 mph. Over ridges...prevailing south winds 25 to 40 mph. Tonight Rain at lower elevations...and rain and snow at higher elevations. Windy, colder. Lows 29 to 41 higher elevations... 39 to 45 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...3 to 9 inches higher elevations. Snow level 7000 feet. Prevailing south winds 10 to 30 mph with gusts to around 45 mph. Over ridges, prevailing south winds 20 to 30 mph increasing to 25 to 45 mph after midnight.

Bear Valley, CA...The Bear Valley Business Association has recently installed Tesla chargers at the BV Lodge. These are free to use for any Tesla driver, compliments of the BVBA. In addition, in conjunction with Skyline Resorts, BVBA embarked on wiring the entire Village for public free WiFi. This in now running in a limited capacity and should provide high speed broadband in all public areas of Bear Valley, including up at the ski area, by early summer.

Hey Good People!!! The "Pure Mountain Fun" Continues

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! 2" of new snow overnight, 9" in 24hrs 21" in 72hrs!!!!!! Even thought it's Spring, Winter is still trying to hang on. Today the high will be around 39F with winds out of the SSE from 0-9mph. A mix of snow and sunshine today as the system heads East with a chance of snow in the a.m. and a mix of sun and clouds from 12pm on. The next pulse arrives Sunday mid day and could bring another 2-4" for Sunday night into early Monday morning. Monday will see that system make an exit and High pressure will come into play for a day or so then a weak system could bring a mix of precipitation for Wed/Thursday then by the weekend things look to be copious sunshine and temps in the upper 40's or so. Abundant snowfall this season has set us up for great spring conditions and having wrote that, we're extending our season for another week! April 23rd is now our official closing date so if you are thinking of coming up for your spring break we'll be open as most other Nor/Central Cal resorts will be closing a week earlier. Come up to Bear Valley and experience our local "Pure Mtn Fun" ethos and stay tuned..........
