Posted by: thepinetree on 12/14/2018 10:14 AM
Sonora, CA...Seasonal road and trail closures on the Stanislaus National Forest begin Dec. 16 and will remain in effect until April 14, 2019. The STF Motor Vehicle Use Map indicates which roads and trails will be closed and may be picked up at any ranger district office, or by visiting STF’s maps webpage at http://go.usa.gov/x8ysh. Please note if the MVUM identifies a road as closed, regardless whether a gate is closed and locked, it is closed for the season. Additionally, roads identified in the MVUM as being open may be hazardous due to local weather conditions, such as snow, or fallen trees. Drivers and hikers are urged to be prepared for hazards caused by fallen trees.

Hey Good People! Make Plans Now For The Holidays in Bear Valley!

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/09/2018 10:53 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! As the day unfolds a beautiful morning sunrise should be in effect as clear skies give way to beautiful views this morning. A high of 43F is in order with a South wind from 9-11mph. Today's high temp will be the peak until Thursday or Friday and the night time lows will give us even more opportunity to make snow where we need it. Monday, a quick moving system will move through the area and we expect only an inch or so of new snow then ridging looks to return. If you're on the fence about coming up, get off of it as early conditions have never been this good in 15 years! The Christmas Holiday is shaping up to be stellar so don't miss out and be sure to make plans to enjoy Bear Valley for the coming Holidays. As always we're about "Pure Mtn Fun" .

Hey Good People! Entire Upper Mountain Open & Best Early Season Conditions in 15 Years! ~ Mattly Trent

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/08/2018 10:25 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! The short wave trough heads East today so we’ll see clear skies and temps around 42F for the high. Light and variable winds will in order today and should not exceed 6mph or so. The next low pressure trough will arrive Sunday afternoon/evening so the weekend will be in great shape for sunshine and good times. Monday through Tuesday we could pick up another few inches of new snow but timing is still different between the models so we’ll give it another day before I nail that down. We are opening the backside this morning with the Pooh Chair coming online for a bit then we’ll switch over the Polar Express. We will also be running the Moke Express 6 pack on the front side. If you’re on the fence about coming up get off of it as early conditions have never been this good in 15 years! The Christmas Holiday is shaping up to be stellar so don’t miss out and make plans to enjoy Be ar Valley for the coming Holidays. As always we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun”.
