Hey Good People! December 2nd Bear Valley Update! ~ Mattly Trent

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/02/2018 10:32 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! As I write and have a strong cup o’ coffee on hand the temp is 12F at 5am! Crisp overnight temps will lead to another awesome day of skiing and riding. 29″ is the storm total so far and with a 35″ base and 50″ for the season so far and we are off to a great Holiday season. Today the high will be around 27F with light NE winds from 5-8mph. Monday looks to be a repeat with a few degrees warmer then we will be back into another snow cycle. The Tuesday through Thursday event is still coming into focus as the models are a bit different but all are showing snowfall. We will see a better forecast for that event come Monday as snow levels look to be around the 5000′ level for that event. We are open weekends only until Dec 15th when we go 7 days a week. As always we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” .

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/01/2018 08:02 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! It’s 5am and the snow just started falling again, 2″ so far. Cold temps with an overnight low of 20F will give today’s skiing/riding experience a wonderful light snow experience. We look to pick up 9-13″ of new snow today as the models have certainly fluctuated back and forth over totals in the last 48hrs. The high will be around 27F with SW winds in the mid teens with some gusts into the mid 20’s. Another cold evening is on tap with a low of 17F forecasted. Scattered snow showers tonight will give way to a beautiful sunny Sunday so get on up and check out the new snow and bring family and friends because we’re going to all have a good time. As always we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” .

Hey Good People! Several Feet of "Pure Mountain Fun" on the Way to Bear Valley. ~ Mattly Trent

Posted by: thepinetree on 11/28/2018 12:05 PM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Well….here we go! A strong system with heavy snowfall is in effect as yesterday the initial showing gave us about 6/10th’s of an inch of rain at the resort with the warm front temps and a bit of an inversion left the town of Bear Valley with and inch or so of new snow. Today a high of 38F is expected with SSW winds from 9-13mph with gusts into the 20’s. 6-10″ of snow is expected today and 7-11″ tonight and a whopping 11-17″ expected during the day Thursday!!! Friday during the day things will slow down a bit then Friday night 4-8″ is expected before the system makes it’s way East. The important thing here is temps and elevation for snowfall. Higher snowfall elevations at first will only compliment last weeks snowfall as the heavier denser snow will pack in naturally and as the storm progresses we’ll see colder temps continue and drop the snow level to 6000 by Thursday morning and then 4000′ by Saturday. Next week looks to continue with this pattern and snowfall could go as low as 3000′ by next Tuesday. The storm door is open and I expect good coverage for lower elevations. Stay tuned as we will be opening more terrain for the coming weekend. As always we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” .
