Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! As we start the weekend we’ll expect a high of 48F and ENE winds in the mid teens to 20’s with some local gusts into the 30’s. A beautiful day is ahead for skiing/riding as the grooming has been amazing over the last handful of days. As high pressure digs in we will see the surface gradient increase and produce some breezy conditions. The current ridging looks to flatten by mid week and some precipitation looks to return although the models vary at this point so stay tuned for that event. The Mountain now has all aspects open for your skiing & riding pleasure so come check us out as Hwy 4 is the easiest access to any resort on the Western Sierra Slope.

Hey Good People!! It’s Time For Some Skiing/Riding My Friends, Enjoy Some “Pure Mtn Fun”

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! As the storm front moves onshore this morning we will see surface pressure gradients at their strongest during the initial arrival so winds will be in the upper 20’s sustained and gusts will reach into the 40’s. The windy conditions will last into the evening and subside Monday morning as the system heads East at that time. The focus will be the snowfall associated with this Pacific front as today we could see up to 16″ fall today and another 12-18″ tonight!!!!! The model runs are still wavering a bit so the totals could be a bit more for tonight. The snowfall elevations will start out a bit high near pass levels then drop by the afternoon to 6000′ and falling to 4000′ later tonight. Monday the trough will sit over the Great Basin so a few inside sliders may produce but that chance is relatively small at this time. This is a classic January snowfall pattern for us and It’s time for some skiing/riding my friends so come on up and enjoy some “Pure Mtn Fun”.
Hey Good People!! An Explosion of "Pure Mtn Fun" Today in Bear Valley! ~ Mattly Trent

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Warm air aloft has brought the temps up to 36F for the overnight low with lite mixed precipitation. Today we’ll see a partly sunny day with a high of 42F and a south wind up to 9mph. Tonight however we’ll see low pressure kick back in and a return of snowfall is slated for Sunday through Monday. Currently the model runs show 9-13″ of new snow during the day Sunday and 7-11″ Sunday night into Monday. Winds for this event will be in the 20’s to 30’s so redistribution of snow around the mountain can lend itself to drifting and pockets of deeper snowfall. By Tuesday high pressure will return and keep the forecast area dry and clear through the following weekend. This a classic January snowfall pattern for us and It’s time for some skiing/riding my friends so come on up and enjoy some “Pure Mtn Fun”.
