Two Small Vegetation Fires Reported This Morning in Calaveras County

CAL Fire is reporting two small fires that occurred today, June 12th. The first one was reported at 2006 Hwy 49 and Deer Creek Road in Angels Camp. Cause is unknown. Total damages were 1/4 acre of vegetation, with $75 of damages. The second was a small spot of grass fire at 147 Shady Lane at Parrotts Ferry Road in Murphys. Cause is unknown. CAL Fire reports are enclosed....

FIRE NEWS....Lake Don Pedro Fire Update...1200 Acres Now Burned plus Two Structures, 90% Contained

Don Pedro, CA...Crews and lots of resources are on a fire that has consumed several hundred acres and at least two structures in the Lake Don Pedro area. It has recently jumped the Tuolumne River and that changes the complexity of this fire considerably. From our last conversation with CAL Fire's Lisa Williams it seems this unfortunate turn of events may give this fire fresh territory to roll through. Let's hope the crews can rapidly get the upper hand. If you are traveling in that area you may experience delays. J59 has been closed at 132 for the last couple of hours. Update enclosed...

Valley Springs, CA.....CAL Fire is stating an electrical short in a heater is the cause of a fire that occurred at 80 Daphne Street in Valley Springs on Saturday. There were no injuries and no dollar damage reported. Full fire report enclosed....

Copperopolis, CA....CAL Fire is stating sparks from a dragging dozer is the cause of a 1/4 acre vegetation fire on Friday June 6th at 904 Reeds Turnpike at 100 Ranch Road in Copperopolis. There were no injuries and no dollar damage reported. Fire report enclosed....

FIRE NEWS.....Grass Fire Reported at Glory Hole (Updated)

Angels Camp, CA...Fire Crews are responding to a grass fire being reported near the Glory Hole boat ramp. More to come..... (Update)Resources are being released now as the fire is being mopped up and they have it under control. The total damage is 2-3 acres. In speaking with personnel on scene it appears that this fire may have been sparked by crews doing weed control.

Calaveras County, CA........CAL Fire reported a 1/8 grass fire at 576 Main Street in Copperopolis on Friday May 30th. Cause is unknown and there were no injuries. There was a also a small spot fire at 129 Sequia Street in Valley Springs. This was caused from escaped ash from a BBQ. No injuries reported. CAL Fire reports are enclosed.....

Wilson Reservoir Fire Reported Sunday

West Point, CA....We received the official fire report from CAL fire for the small 5' x 5' vegetation fire that occurred at Wilson Reservoir in West Point on Sunday. Cause is undetermined. We had heard initial reports of an escaped camp fire. No dollar damage reported. Fire report enclosed.....

Burson, CA...CAL Fire is stating a Ford Model 11185 Harvester in motion was the cause of a 5 acre grass fire on May 28th at 3541 Burson Road. Damages are estimated at $1000. No injuries are reported. Fire report enclosed....

The CAL Fire report is in the for the 1.5 acre grass fire that occurred on Wednesday May 28th at Parrotts Ferry Road north of Natural Bridges. The cause of the fire was a vehicle. No injuries or dollar damage reported. Fire report enclosed.......

FIRE NEWS....Possible Brush Fire Being Reported in the Hwy 12 Burson Road Area (Update) Fire has been contained at approximately 3 acres and aircraft have been released.

CHP is reporting a possible brush fire in the Hwy 12/Burson Road area and has transferred the call to CAL Fire. CAL Fire is getting ready to respond now. Will keep you posted as we know more detailed info....(Update) They have called in a spotter and equipment is arriving on scene now according to Lisa Williams with CAL Fire. So far it is 2-3 acres in size with a slow spread. They are not backing off crews as of yet as it could grow unexpectedly. We will continue to keep you posted if needed....(Update #2)Fire has been contained at 3 acres according to Dennis at CAL Fire. Aircraft has been released. Thank Goodness!
