San Andreas, CA...The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) invites adults interested in helping others learn about safe home food preservation to apply to train as a Master Food Preserver (MFP) volunteer. UCCE Master Food Preserver volunteers learn research-based information and then share that knowledge with our communities in Amador and Calaveras counties through public classes, community events, and newsletters....

The public is invited to attend the club meeting at 10 a.m., followed by a free demonstration by veteran bonsai grower Dave Anderson on repotting and styling a field-collected American elm, which was obtained from his family ranch in Rio Vista.
