Rise of the "Trunk Or Treats" and Church Festivals. |

Angels Camp, CA...Halloween is always a festive time here locally. From businesses decorating with staffs that look delightful to the always packed "Rocky Hill" neighborhood in Murphys there are lots of ways for everyone from toddlerhood on up to celebrate. One group of events that is definitely on the rise in number and sophistication is the "Trunk or Treats" at local schools or churches throughout the area. One event that seems to grow every year is put on by the Catholic Church in Angels Camp. This year they had hay rides, bounce houses and even a car show. A few shots from that event are below....

Angels Camp, CA...Twenty-five years ago Foothill Community Church was founded for one reason, to share the love of God. That love has woven its way through the church since that time, running like a golden thread through the tapestry of the life of the congregation, through sermons, ministries and the people who come together to worship the Lord and support one another in the love and faith that only He can give. The seed of that vision of a church congregation based on love was a verse from Proverbs said Senior Pastor David Mattson, who was the founding pastor, who along with his wife Judy, and 23 other people founded the church with a vision to share the love of Christ with those in the Angels Camp area....
