Angels Camp, CA...Yesterday the Sonora Regional Medical Center (SRMC), an Adventist Health organization, held it's grand opening of their new prompt care clinic at the intersection of Highways 4 and 49. Currently operating 20 satellite facilities to their hospital in Sonora, this new facility in Angels Camp will be the third of those satellite facilities to operate as a prompt care clinic...

Angles Camp, CA....A City Council seat has been vacated due to a recent resignation on the Council. If you are interested in serving on the Angels Camp City Council until the term is ended in December, 2012, please submit an appointment application form and letter of interest to the City Clerk by Wednesday, April 13, 2011. The form can be picked up at City Hall and also downloaded from www.angelscamp.gov. Interviews will be held at the April 19, 2011 City Council Meeting. To be eligible to hold the office of Council member, you must be a resident of Angels Camp and a registered voter......

Frogtown, USA.....The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is a mecca of individuals and organizations volunteering to make the County’s signature event successful. The Fair has six standing committees that work all year to plan the annual event. The Junior Livestock Committee is the longest standing committee, created in the 1970’s. This group of 30 individuals works tirelessly to manage and operate the Junior Livestock Auction. In addition to facilitating the auction the committee advises the Board on livestock rules and procedures......

ANGELS CAMP, CA – March 22, 2011 – The California Department of Water Resources (CDWR) is reporting an above average snowpack in the Sierra which has river outfitter O.A.R.S. getting ready for an exciting, extended season of thrill-stacked whitewater rafting. This year’s snowpack is expected to produce higher water levels, faster flows, bigger rapids, and a longer-than-average California rafting season. The Tuolumne River’s late May and early June season is expected to provide the highest flows of the year, and some of the most exciting whitewater rafting conditions in California’s recent history...

Frogtown, USA....The Friends of the Calaveras County Fair will be hosting their Pot O’Gold $10,000 Raffle again this year at the 2011 Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee. Raffle Tickets for the $10,000 drawing are now for sale. Tickets can be purchased for $25 a piece, or $100 for 5 tickets. Tickets are pulled Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening before the main evening event for $1,000. Sunday night before the Destruction Derby, the winning ticket will be pulled and the winner will receive $10,000. Winners from the Thursday, Friday & Saturday night drawings are reentered into the .....
