New Melones, CA...Here is a partial list of who will be here for our seminar on April 16-17th. Format will be different this year. Guides will be stationed in the parking lot with their boats. They will have rods/reels and downriggers rigged up to demonstrate the equipment they use. You can go from guide to guide, and ask them questions. Arnold, CA...We just spoke with a PG&E representative and they are making progress on outages. System wide they had over 100,000 customers without power a couple of hours ago. Now the numbers have dropped down to around 70,000. There are 4 individual outages affecting 4,100 customers in the Arnold area. The estimated restoral time is late this evening between 10:30pm and Midnight. Down the hill...

Calaveras County, CA.....The Bret Harte FFA Chapter is Proud of Their 2011 State Degree Recipients. State FFA Degree (formerly State Farmer or Planter), awarded by each state based on hours worked and/or money earned in an SAE. This is the highest degree that a member may attain at a state level. Recipients will be awarded a golden pin. The Bret Harte Chapter is in the Central Region of California. The ceremony was held March 17, 2011 at 6:15 pm at Delta College in Stockton, CA. Congratulations to our recipients!

Calaveras County Fairgrounds, Angels Camp, CA....A sunny St. Patrick's day today found the Calaveras County Fairgrounds chock full of kids as nearly every area school brought out the buses and came out to the barns at Frogtown. The Calaveras County Farm Bureau, together with the Fairgrounds, sponsored todays educational event. Toni Ann Fischer, President of the Farm Bureau, described the day's activities. "For almost 20 years we've been bringing out the kids to help them learn how all through their everyday lives they receive the benefits of agriculture. ....
