New Melones, CA...Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 1,975,100 acre-feet of water. The lake level has been steady and slowly rising for the last few weeks. It is currently at 1050 ft. above sea level and 38 ft. from full. The water temperature has dropped, and is currently 52-54 degrees. The lake has turned over.....

Angels Camp, CA...Boyz Nite Out is a five member pop a-capella ensemble that sings songs; makes music instrument sounds with their voices, and they rock and roll. BNO specialize in cover, pop, and rockin’ high energy music. They will at the Bret Harte High School Theater on Sunday, January 22, 2012, starting at 3pm. They are part of Calaveras Arts Council’s Ovations 2012 Performing Arts Series.....

Her award-winning 2004 film The Future of Food has done an enormous amount to raise people’s awareness of how our food system has been changed by the introduction of genetically engineered foods also known as genetically modified organisms or GMOs. Angels Camp, CA..On January 7th a A San Andreas man was traveling northbound on Hwy 49 at an unknown speed. Ahead of him a vehicle was stopped to turn left at Deer Creek Road to visit the Veterinarian's office. There was also another vehicle slowing for the vehicle ahead...

Good Morning All..I wanted to send out a reminder for Tuesday, January 10th the golf shop, range, restaurant, and course will be closed. We will be cleaning carpets in the entire building, which we need to stay off of them for the day. The maintenance crew will be spraying all the fairways with an iron application so please be aware of the crew. We will also be watering the course heavily in the morning once the temperature warms up so the ground will be wet and could be a little sloppy out there.....

Murphys, CA...This time of year, I’m getting a lot of wishes thrown in my direction for a “better 2012.” While obviously the sentiment is sweet, I can’t help but hear the implication that my 2011 was perhaps sub-par. I will admit that it was eventful. Okay, so I was 36 years old and had a stroke in my cerebellum this year. But it turned out to be a huge blessing: it led to my cancer diagnosis....
