Angels Camp and Valley Springs, CA...Scotts Yogurt Factory has brought back Karaoke!! Starting tonight (Tuesday) in Valley Springs and Wednesday in Angels Camp from 6-9pm. This is a free community event and wed like to invite you all to come down and sing, or just listen to our amazing local talent. Angels Camp, CA...Tonight was the annual CVB Dinner and going away dinner for Lisa Mayo. Lisa is leaving as Executive Director of the Calaveras County Visitors Bureau after 11 years of service. There were speeches, awards and even proclamations by Calaveras County Board of Supervisors and the City of Angels Camp. The CVB recently appointed Cave and Mine Adventures Marketing Director Lisa Boulton to fill her shoes. It should prove a seamless transition as "The Lisas" have worked side by side on many Tourism related projects over the years. Lisa is also an outgoing member of the CVB board so she is well versed on current issues as well....

New Melones Lake Fishing Report from Glory Hole Sports |

Angels Camp, CA...Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding1,666,490 acre-feet of water. The lake level has dropped three feet this week and is currently at 1020 ft. above sea level and 68 ft. from full. Water temperature is in the upper 70's to low 80's. Lake is stained, with mud lines forming around the shore on windy days, and days with a lot of boat traffic.
The Barrington crew went out and caught a whole mess of trout while night fishing with crawlers near the spillway. |

Angels Camp, CA...Hello Calaveras Visitors Bureau Partners and Friends, It is a bittersweet time for me as I prepare to leave the Calaveras Visitors Bureau and head across the river to be the new Director of Sales and Marketing for the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau. The past eleven years as your Executive Director have been an amazing ride filled with great successes and amazing opportunities and challenges that have helped shaped my career. Angels Camp, CA...Following a selection process that included reviewing resumes from more than two dozen candidates from around the country and eight interviews, the Calaveras Visitors Bureau Board of Directors voted unanimously on Tuesday to hire former board member Lisa Boulton as the new executive director of the CVB....

Angels Camp, CA...There is something very unique about suffering through a disease like cancer in a small town. There are few places I can go where my health problem is unknown. I am met with compassionate smiles, or awkward glances, and usually kind and encouraging words. Certainly the way I have been compelled to journey through my illness has magnified that lack of anonymity. I wouldn’t change a thing. I couldn’t change a thing.
