Summer Hoops Tournament Including Adults on August 10th |

San Andreas, CA...The Mother Lode Summer Madness 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be held Saturday, August 10 at Calaveras High School. The tournament is open to all players and will feature the following divisions for boys and girls: Elementary (up to sixth grade); Middle School (seventh and eighth graders); JV (ninth and 10th graders); Varsity (11th and 12th graders); as well as a new Open division for adults 18 and older....

Angels Camp, CA... Angels Camp resident Clyde H. Seeman passed away on June 14. Clyde was born on January 4, 1935 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton to the late Delbert and Edna Seeman. A second generation Calaveras county resident, Clyde and his late brother Robert grew up on the family ranch in Railroad Flat....

Angels Camp, CA... Gracing our Frogtown camping area are the riders of the LIVESTRONG Texas 4000, fighting cancer every mile. This team of young college age bicycle riders are on their way to Anchorage, Alaska. They came through Yosemite today and with a 6 a.m. wakeup call they will be headed North to Alaska in the morning. Tomorrow's ride is scheduled for about 120 miles. You can follow these young adventurers on their website - more pictures inside...

Angels Camp, CA...Nona Faye Preuss, 75, of Dixon, died on June 10. She was born Nona Faye Winn on Aug. 9, 1937 in Napa. Mrs. Preuss was a talented vocalist and an avid gardener. She was guided by the principals of her Lutheran upbringing, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends...
