Tickets and Sponsorships Now Available for the Fourth Annual Calaveras Follies! |

Angels Camp, CA.... It’s Follies Time! Tickets are now available for the fourth annual Calaveras Follies, slated for Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Mark Twain Hall, Frogtown, Angels Camp. Well-known community members will again take the stage, impersonating celebrities and lip-synching popular songs, in a show that gets more ambitious and surprising every year. The Calaveras Follies is the largest annual fundraiser for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program and is presented by Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program volunteers, Frogtown and Murphys Creek Theatre. Early ticket buyers sit closer to the stage. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased through Frogtown at (209) 736-2561; credit cards are accepted.....

Angels Camp, CA...We had the pleasure to chat for a few minutes with The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce's Executive Director, Diane Gray. One of the big pushes for the Chamber this year will be Economic Development and bringing additional jobs to the county. The Chamber is meeting with Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Chair, Steve Wilensky next week. A Supervisor's Study Session will be held at a later date on Economic Development. This will enable what everyone can do to enhance the economic vitality of our area....

Angels Camp, CA….Today, 1,350 cases of girl scouts cookies were dropped off at the Angels Camp Fire/ Police Department. The cookies were brought in by a large semi-truck filled to the rim. Half of the truck was delivered in Angles Camp and the other half in Valley Springs.....

Angels Camp, CA…. Today, more than 60 boats averaging 150 people participated in the annual Trout Fishing Derby at New Melones Lake in Angels Camp. The competition began at dusk (6am). Fishermen from all over Northern California came to compete for two titles and grand prizes. The two competitions were biggest stringer “The Biggest Fish” and top four, two fish stringers “Best of Two”....

San Andreas, CA...At the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner held on Friday, February 1, 2008, Mark Twain St. Joseph’s was honored by being awarded 2008 Business of the Year! There were over 140 members of the business community in attendance, including 19 from the hospital leadership, medical staff and Hospital Foundation....
