This Public Hearing will be held to determine whether each student in each school will have sufficient textbooks and instructional materials in each subject consistent with the content and cycles of the state curriculum frameworks during the 2019 /20 fiscal year.

Murphys, CA...We lost my daughter's kids kayak on Murphys Grade Rd this morning. Someone picked it up before we could get back to it. My daughter is 2 and really loves her kayak! It is a Lifetime Wave kayak, blue with pink flowers on it.

Early Morning Burglary at Calaveras Coins & Collectibles |

Angels Camp, CA...On September 5, 2019 at approximately 3:31 AM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department was dispatched to an alarm sounding at Calaveras Coins and Collectibles located at 253 S. Main St. The officer arrived at the business two minutes later at 3:33 AM and found that the business had been burglarized.

Randy McNurlin 1960 - 2019 |

Angels Camp, CA..On August 28, 2019 Randy McNurlin passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 59. He was born on August 8, 1960 to Carroll and Sharil McNurlin. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, baseball and most of all his family. He was self employed for 20 years and later went on to work for Tuolumne County Humane Society. He managed the Humane Society up till his lupus forced him into retirement. He continued to stay active and went on to volunteer his time and knowledge to develop the Calaveras Humane Society’s new facility and structure. Outside of work Randy enjoyed coaching his children in sports on and off the field. This lead him to coach the Special Olympics for several years.
