9:00 -- Opening comments and introductions – Mayor Jack Boeding
9:10 -- Introduction of the workshop facilitator, Mary Ann McAlea, President of Gold Country Visitors Association
9:15 -- Progress on becoming ‘The Base Camp for Sierra Mountain Sports’

Copperopolis, CA...Normally we start at the higher elevations but they looked all clear and Copperopolis had the only significant deviations from the normal elevations changes. Fog will be an issue in the lower elevations. Overnight: Areas of dense fog. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 38. North wind around 5 mph. Friday: Areas of dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 56. North northwest wind between 5 and 8 mph....

James Vaughn Brucks was born January 23, 1976 to Karen Louise Spradling and William James Brucks in San Jose, CA. He died at the age of 34 on January 10, 2011 in Angels Camp, CA. After leaving San Jose, James worked in the Produce Canning Industry, and Restaurant Business in Tulare County, CA. In 2006, James relocated to Calaveras County to be closer to his family. First to Dorrington, CA, and then to Angels Camp, CA where he worked in housing construction, and was a Fork Lift Operator and Yard Supervisor for Calaveras Lumber and Ace Hardware......

San Andreas, CA....Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) is conducting an income survey in the Douglas Flat - Vallecito community to pursue a state grant for upgrades to the existing wastewater treatment facility. Residents are being asked to fill out a brief form to establish the median household income (MHI) in the area by January 31, 2011. Accuracy of the information is critical in determining CCWD’s eligibility for state grant funds. .....

A dazzling program of music for violin and cello covering nearly 250 years of classical expression will be featured on Saturday, February 5, in Angels Camp in the 350-seat auditorium of the Bret Harte Theatre.
