New Melones, CA.....Dan and I at the mouth of the South Fork Stanislaus, after a long, cold boat ride! Dan and I had a visitor from out of town this week. Terry lives part-time in Hawaii, and part time in Northern California near Sonoma. He wanted to catch some trout (I guess he gets bored with all those big mahi and ono in Hawaii!). We took him out for trout, and managed to catch dinner three days in a row. By the way, does anyone have fish recipes they want to share? I thought it would be fun to include some in the newsletter....

New Melones Lake Reservoir, CA....Join us for Reclamation’s interpretive hikes this spring at New Melones Lake. All activities are free of charge, suitable for all ages, and do not require reservations. Please wear sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. A water bottle and sunscreen are also recommended. Children must be accompanied by an adult. On Saturday April 2nd at 10am, enjoy "Wildflowers of the Mother Lode" at Angels Creek, Glory Hole Recreation Area. Come out and take pleasure in a springtime hike. Learn how to identify some of the wildflowers that blanket the Mother Lode .....

Foothill Village Was Touched By Random Acts of Kindness This Week!~by Debbie Rocco

Angels Camp, CA....Foothill Retirement Village was touched by Random Acts of Kindness this week when the Michelson 2nd Graders shared some musical memories from the past with the residents. The children sang songs including Red River Valley, Take Me Out To The Ball Game, America, You Are My Sun Shine and Clementine. Afterwards, they shared some home made kindness grams that they made and had light conversation with eager elders as well. Kindness continues to flow around the community and we hope you are touched by Random Acts of Kindness. If you are, please PASS IT ON!

This event will provide students and parents the opportunity to tour the campus, meet with teachers, learn more about elective choices available to freshman, and become familiar with courses and materials incoming students will encounter next year. ....
