Made in Calaveras will be offering his infamous BBQ, pulled pork sandwiches, kielbasa and hot dogs....

Angels Camp, CA....Foothill Village Senior Community's annual yard sale is just around the corner! Join us Saturday, September 3rd from 8 am- 4pm! 1400 Foothill Village Dr. Angels Camp (the big building on the hill in stelte park). We are preparing all the fine things we have for sale and are looking forward to seeing you shop for new treasures! Every year we pull out the items collected in storage (Mostly Furniture!) as well as the donations from residents and employees and sell everything for BARGAIN PRICES! Everything from kitchen stuff to clothes, decorations and knick knacks, amongst the furniture and other fantastic stuff! All proceeds benefit our Employee Appreciation Fund (Tips!) and left over yard sale items are donated to Hospice Thrift Store! Come check it out- you never know what you may find!!

City of Angels and City of Angels Employees Association Have Reached Settlement |

| Angels Camp, CA...Following more than a year-long effort, the City of Angels and the City of Angels Employees Association have reached a settlement in their contract negotiations. The last contract between the City and the employee’s association expired June 30, 2010. On August 16th, the City Council unanimously adopted a 2-year agreement that had been ratified by the employees one week earlier. Under the terms of the agreement, employee salaries will be frozen for two years although the parties can re-open the contract to discuss wages if the City’s finances improve next year. The employees also agreed to pay a portion of their pension contribution and make changes in the City’s health plan.... |

But build it they did, and as surely as they did in the Kevin Costner film, they came tonight to Greenhorn Creek to discover the new Caddy Shack. Greenhorn Creek's own "Kevin Costner" is marketing director Buck Reed......

Angels Camp, CA....On Wednesday, August 31st staff members from the Calaveras County Fairgrounds & Jumping Frog Jubilee will be featured on The Today Show live from Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. The Today Show will be featuring our famous jumping frogs during a segment on county fairs. All four news anchors will be jumping Frogs in the plaza at Rockefeller Center Wednesday morning while Frogtown representatives comment on video clips of our annual event....

Angels Camp, CA....The Angels Camp Museum has been working to re-model its gift shop as well as expanding its inventory to include more relevant historical items and period-themed educational books and toys for children. The remodeling will be complete along with its new inventory on Friday, September 2 and to celebrate its re-opening, we will be holding a Labor Day weekend sale beginning Friday September 2nd and running through Monday, September 5th with 10% off all items in the gift shop and an additional 30% to 80% off....

Angels Camp, CA..Angels Murphys Arnold youth sports will hold sign-ups for wrestling on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Sign-ups will be held at Bret Harte High School in the learning center at 7pm. The learning center is directly across from the lower gym. The cost to sign-up is $65.00 made payable to AMA Booster Club. The cost includes registration and entry fee in 6 tournaments. You must go online and get a USA wrestling card and physical prior to the start of practices. Practices will begin in late October or early November, 2 nights a week from 6-7:30 pm. All ages 5 and up are welcome, however if your child is between 5 and 8 years old, a parent must attend and assist with their child for all practices...
